Creative Concept:
The statue is based on the image of the Yan Emperor Shennong, purchased by Chinese-American Wang Deqiao from the Huagang Museum in the United States. The creation was led by Dean Yu Xiaoping from the China Academy of Art; the base of the sculpture has a side length of 56 feet (approximately 18.67 meters), symbolizing the 56 ethnic groups of China; the height of the base is 42.6 feet, representing the birthday of the Yan Emperor Shennong on the 26th day of the 4th lunar month (14.2 meters);
The standing statue is 95 feet tall (approximately 31.67 meters), symbolizing the respect of 95.
The statue is composed of 1314 pieces of granite, and the processing, production, and installation took more than 3 months, setting the shortest construction record in the stone carving industry.
